Technique
If there's a clear trade-off, state the benefit, then say: "…but the problem is that… [downside]" / "That said, X does come with its trade-offs, I'm afraid." / "This, however, can come at an expense." / "At the same time, this comes at a cost."
If it's more nuanced and you don't want to pick a side: "I don't really see this as an either-or choice." / "This isn't a one-or-the-other situation." / "We can have the best of both worlds." / "I think we can look at a middle ground." / "We don't need to limit ourselves to just these two."
